CE Model School 25-26

What is Great Expectations (GE)?

GE is a framework that provides teachers and administrators with the framework and skills to create harmony and excitement within the school atmosphere. The elements are to inspire students to pursue academic excellence and develop good character traits. The "Eight Expectations" are taught and integrated throughout every school day.  Teachers attend a four-day Methodology training that teaches them how to implement the GE principles and seventeen practices. Every year, our school has to reapply to receive the "Model School" status.  It's an honor to be a GE Model School once again!

The Eight Expectations:

  • We will value one another as unique and special individuals.
  • We will not laugh at or make fun of a person’s mistakes nor use sarcasm or putdowns.
  • We will use good manners, saying “please,” “thank you,” and “excuse me” and allow others to go first.
  • We will cheer each other to success.
  • We will help one another whenever possible.
  • We will recognize every effort and applaud it.
  • We will encourage each other to do our best.
  • We will practice virtuous living, using the Life Principles
